Dr. Fred Hu, Chairman and CEO of Primavera Capital, and Mrs. Abby Hu recently co-hosted The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) Asia Pacific Council 25th anniversary celebration in Hong Kong, marking an important milestone and a shared commitment to protecting the natural world.
A central highlight of the evening was the keynote remarks by Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul M.P. Chan, who emphasized the importance of aligning finance, commerce, and conservation, and Hong Kong’s role in advancing green finance and innovation.
An engaging fireside chat between Dr. Hu, who serves as Asia Pacific Council Co-Chair and a Global Board Member of TNC, and TNC CEO Jennifer Morris further explored how to scale global conservation through sustainable finance and cross-sector collaboration.
Reflecting on TNC’s work across the Asia Pacific, Dr. Hu also emphasized the importance of science, partnership, and global collaboration in advancing conservation, noting that “while nature needs our care, protecting it also shapes and grounds us.”
