PEI 300: Primavera Capital Ranked Fifth Among Asia’s Private Equity Firms


The 2023 annual PEI 300, a list of the top 300 global private equity firms, was officially unveiled on June 1st. Primavera is ranked fifth among Asian private equity firms.

According to the PEI website, PEI 300 was launched in 2001 by Private Equity International, a UK-based private equity news and information publisher, to track the development of the global private equity industry. The list is among the most authoritative in the PE industry. Primavera Capital has been featured on the list for many years, ranking 6th and 7th in Asia in 2022 and 2021 respectively. Primavera Capital’s 2023 ranking reflects a steady move-up in recent years.

Covering thousands of private equity investment institutions in North America, South America, Europe and Asia, PEI 300 measures the total value of the fundraisings of private equity firms over the past five years. The list presents a comprehensive picture of the global private equity investment market.
