Haitao Zhai

Haitao is a founding Partner of Primavera Capital Group. He leads the firm’s investments in the financial services sector, and co-leads healthcare sector investments. Currently, he is a Independent Director of China Life Insurance Company Ltd., China Everbright Environment Group and China Everbright Water.

Previously, Haitao served as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, Chief Representative of Goldman Sachs Beijing, and Director of Goldman Sachs-ICBC Strategic Cooperation Office. Prior to joining Goldman, he worked at the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) Representative Office in New York and the Department of International Affairs at the PBOC headquarters.

Haitao holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Peking University, a Master in International Affairs from Columbia University, and an MBA from New York University.
